Margins are wide and each sheet as the legend and index map in a wide side margin for use as an individual map, but the set is designed to be joined by pasting overlaps to create a very large wall map. The first and eighth sheets are soiled and have minor marginal tears not affecting map area. Otherwise, the sheets are clean. All have a library stamp on the back. The map is uncoloured where the solid geology was unknown or was covered by substantial alluvium. The map coverage extends deep into China and east and west beyond India. Areas of mapped geology include parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sikkim, Tibet, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and offshore islands except Sri Lanka. In good condition.
