Clean, bright, short tears at insert into binding and on top centre fold. In very good condition. 31 photographic plates and 25 figures inset in text.

Rogers was the Director of the Geological Survey of Cape Colony. GSCC was founded in 1895. The preface gives a good account of the pre-survey geological mapping of the Cape and southern Africa.
