Signatures of two early owners on title page, text is age toned with slight foxing to title page and next, and otherwise clean. Hand coloured small scale geological map as frontispiece, uncoloured plate of long sections after index and foldout figure of vertical sections correlating north and south South Staffs, the latter much creased. Overall, in very good condition.
