Cover worn, bumped, soiled, binding sound. Text age-toned, untrimmed, clean. Fold out maps of Hastings town, and of Environs, five plates and a Geological Map. Manuscript notes regarding accommodation in two different hands on back free endpaper. In good condition.
This must be one of if not the earliest geological map in a local guide book. It appears to be a trace from Wm. Phillips Geological Facts.of the region along south coast. It is not coloured, the formations are numbered. The only topographic reference is the coast line and a few ports along it. There is a one page not very helpful geological commentary.
