Early owner bookplate, library stamps and label on front endpapers. Text and plates age-toned, clean. Plates hand coloured lithographs: 1. Index Geological Map of the I of W, 1:190,080 (35 x 44cm); 2. Horizontal sections of south coastline (25 x 63cm); 3: vertical sections comparing I of W and Dorset (25 x 63cm); 4. N to S horizontal sections (25 x 43cm); 5. b/w vertical sections of Oligocene strata (33 x 33cm). Cover in poor condition, text and plates in good to very good condition.
