Hardback copy of extract. Title on spine is ‘On the Plashets Coal Field’. Brown cloth covered boards with leather half-binding, worn and bumped with splits at top of hinges. Seven fold out colour printed maps and sections. Map and some sections extend to Yorkshire and to Scotland.  Occasional very light foxing and transfer of colour on folded figures. In good condition.

Wood (1795-1865) was president of the NEIME from 1852 to 1865.
