London: Longman et al, 8th edition. 180pp + 4pp list of other works by Mawe. Hardback, marbled paper-covered boards with red morocco half binding with gilt lettering to spine. The thin morocco leather has historic pest damage on the spine not affecting the paper. Hinges intact but weak. End papers foxed and partly split along front hinge. Small 18 x 11cm format. Text age-toned and occasionally slightly foxed. Neat early ink numbering and occasional annotation appears to relate to an early owner’s collection. In fair to good condition.
