Horizontal Section No.  109 (1889). From White Edge, 3 miles N of St. John’s Chapel; Weardale through Lintzgarth Common, Wolsingham Park Moor, Cornsay, Esh, Witton Gilbert, Framwell gate and Pittington Moorsley, Haswell and Hawthorn, to the Coast at Beacon Point, 3 miles S of Seaham Harbour. Geological Survey of GB. 1st edition. Located on Old Series one-inch maps 102ne, 103nw & ne.  Hand-coloured engraving, 68 x 99cm, 1:10,560 scale (6”= 1mile). Flat, soiled, age-toned, right edge punched for hanging, minor marginal tears. Library stamp in lower right corner. In fair to good condition.
