Horizontal Section No.  114 (1877). From nr. Scales Moor, across Gavell Fell by Ennerdale, Wastdale Head, Scafell Pikes, and Coniston Old Man to the E  of Coniston Water, Lancashire. Geological Survey of GB. 1st edition. Located on Old Series one-inch maps 98nw, 101sw & se.  Hand-coloured engraving, 69.5 x 102cm, 1:10,560 scale (6”= 1mile). Flat, age-toned, slightly soiled, minor marginal tears, tear with loss up to plate mark on right side. In good condition.
