Across the Yorkshire Coalfield, from the NW of Sheffield by Ecclesfield, Wentworth, Wath, and Bolton on Dearne, and on over Marr, Owlston, Askern, Pollington, Snaith, Carlton and Barlow. Geological Survey of GB. 1st edition. Located on Old Series one-inch maps 82nw, 87sw, se & ne. Hand-coloured engraving, 69.5 x 103cm, 1:10,560 scale (6”= 1mile). Flat, very soiled. Clean stripe where tape removal lifted soiling. Top and bottom left corners torn with minor loss. Minor marginal tears but for one which extends into figure. In fair condition.
