Together with an explanatory off-print, “Strata Smith” and his Stratigraphic Corss Sections, 1819; a review of facts worth knowing about the origin of stratigraphic geology in the mind of William smith (1769-1839), an English country surveyor and civil engineer by John Fuller. The sections are through: Norfolk, Suffolk, Hampshire and Wiltshire, Essex and Hertfordshire, London to Cambridge, Surrey and Sussex, Dorset and Somerset.
