Scale 1:633,600 (1 inch = 10 miles) colour printed lithograph 80 x 69.5cm, dissected and mounted on linen folding to 21 x 12.5cm within blue embossed cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on front. Inset in upper right includes Orkney and Shetland Isles. Adjacent areas of Ireland and England are coloured. Colours bright, paper clean, linen age-darkened but intact. The cover is slightly bumped with little wear. 32 page Explanatory Notes to Accompany a Geological Map of Scotland is detached from the cover and is loose within the cover. Map and cover in very good condition.
