Greece. (1954). Geological Map of Greece. Athens: Institute for Geology and Sub-surface Research. Two maps , north and south, are  folded colour lithographs at 1:500,000 scale, 88 x 123.5 cm) folding to 29 x 21 cm. Bilingual  Greek and English title and legend, otherwise, all map labelling in Greek.  Light pencil annotations on south sheet and library stamps in upper and lower right corners, otherwise, clean. Light wear along folds and occasional short tears at ends of some folds, not affecting map area. No neatline or border along adjoining edges. Designed so that south sheet overlaps on narrow blank strip on the north sheet; there is no overlap. Bright and in good condition.

Longitude is based on a prime meridian passing through Athens. A note informs that this prime meridian is 23°, 24@, 12” east of Greenwich.
