Colour lithographed map on two sheets of linen-backed paper, each 78 x 60.5cm and folded in half.  Age-toned and slightly soiled with pin-holes in all corners and slight wear along folds. Linen perforated at fold intersections and two minor tears on folds at margins. Library stamps in title block. In good condition.

Covers the entire Carpathian Basin representing historical Hungary before the Treaty of Trianon in 1920. One of the first Hungarian maps to adopt the colouring system established at the International Geological Conference of 1881. Includes adjacent Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria.
