Auguste Pavie (1847-1925) was a French naval officer, explorer, and colonial administrator who, between 1879 and 1895, led a series of expeditions in Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and southern China. This edition is a revision of the 1909 and 1913 editions, publishing surveys made between 1887 and 1895. Coverage includes most of Thailand and adjacent parts of Myanmar.
