Colour heliogravure print 109.5 x 115.5 cm dissected and mounted on linen folding to 27 x 28.5 cm. between marbled card covers with manuscript label(original quarter sheets joined). The areas of sea and the legend are tinted light brown. This is not age-toning  but a design choice, as the borders and margins are white. This signifies an early deluxe issue. The colours are clean and bright. Age toning in light coloured areas near folds. here is negligible wear. There is negligible wear. Linen in the folds is darkened where exposed when folded. Abbreviated manuscript English key beside title block and in the top margin. In very good condition.

There is no date on the map, however being published by Baudry indicates a first edition.
