Colour lithograph in four quarter linen-backed sheets for assembly into wall map. 1:2,000,000 scale. Each sheet 60.5 x 63 cm. Assembled map area would be 109 x 111cm. Full margins untrimmed with colour registration marks and guide marks for trimming for accurate butt joins. Inset map of full extent of Japanese Empire at 1:12m scale, includes Taiwan, Korea undivided, the south end of Sakhalin Island, Russia and the Kwantosho peninsula, now Dalian of China. The maps are bright and clean apart from pale parallel tracks possibly left by wet edge of long ruler on the NW quarter and library stamps in lower left margin of each sheet. In very good to near fine condition.
Together with double-sided foolscap sheet of notes, ‘Geology of Japanese Empire and Corean (sic) Peninsula’, dated June 1910. Age-toned but clean with library stamp. In good condition.
