Johnston, James FW. (1850).  Geological Map of New Brunswick [Canada]. Hand coloured lithographed map, 49 x 41cm, scale 1”=17 miles / approx. 1:1m. scale. Printed by PS Duval’s Steam Litho Press, Philadelphia. Folded, age-toned and slightly soiled light weight paper, but clear bright colours. Minor marginal tears and tears along folds from right edge without loss of map, neatly repaired. “To accompany Professor Johnston’s Report 1850” printed below title. In fair to good condition. Rare.  

The map was published in the  Report on the Agricultural Capabilities of the Province of New Brunswick. Although the report is listed in numerous institutional libraries, the map does not appear in Google searches.
