Hinges sound although front end paper split along hinge. Bookplate and signature of previous owners, and book seller’s pencil annotations on front and back free end papers. Title page and first dozen pages foxed. Text uncut and age-toned with very occasional slight foxing. Foldout ‘Geological Map of Scotland’ at rear, 41.5 x 32.5cm. Approx. scale 1:1,200,000. Clean, bright with small tear where map unfolds from binding, neatly repaired with archival tape. In good condition.
