Hard back with blue cloth-covered boards. End papers, only, foxed, Library annotation on title page,. Very occasional underling of text, but otherwise clean. Cover faded and bumped, short tears to the top and base of spine, binding sound. In good condition. 

Prestwich’s (1812-1896) geological and archaeological contemporaries assisted his widow, with correspondence and photographs. A Geikie contributed a summary and appraisal of Prestwich’s scientific work. All of Prestwich’s published papers are listed.
