Hand-coloured engraving, flat, 69 x 101cm, with old centre-fold. topographic date 1809, no issue stamp, no geological dates as is typical for first edition GS maps in the West Country. Library blind stamps and stencilled number in lower right corner. Legend in sea area which makes up 70% of map area. Light mottling in sea area. Marginal tears neatly repaired with archival tape. Small circular burnt hole in top margin, otherwise clean, bright and in good to very good condition.
